The new set of ITAP officers is led by Dondi Mapa, a former commissioner of the CICT who is now the national technology officer of Microsoft Philippines.

Some 100 health and computer science students and faculty from different campuses in Luzon flocked to the University of the Philippines (UP) Manila College of Medicine last February 11 to attend the Philippine Undergraduate Research on eHealth (PUReHealth) Awards Student Orientation.
Students, accompanied by their research advisers, attended the lectures on basics of eHealth in preparation for the upcoming PUReHealth Awards, the first national undergraduate research competition on eHealth.
The student orientation, spearheaded by the UP Manila National Telehealth Center (NTHC), was held to help students in developing their research entry to the contest.

Emerging market operators will continue to experience strong connections growth in 2012. Mobile broadband will be the main driver of this growth, but it will also act as a strategic disruptor, according to to research firm Ovum.
In a new report, the analyst firm stated that emerging market operators will continue to see double digit mobile connections growth in 2012.
