Accenture names 22-year veteran as technology chief for PH

BPO giant Accenture has announced the appointment of Annbel “Ambe” Tierro as the new “technology delivery lead” for Accenture in the Philippines.

Tierrro, a 22-year veteran at the company, succeeded George Son Keng Po, who has been named Accenture’s technology delivery lead for Asean.

Accenture has been in the country for 27 years and currently employs more than 25,000 people in Metro Manila (12 facilities) and Cebu City (2 facilities).

Prior to her appointment, Tierro was the technology director for delivery in the Philippines. In her new role, she will be responsible for the growth and overall management of Accenture’s technology delivery operations in Manila and Cebu.

Tierro joined Accenture in 1990, and has since then worked in systems integration and outsourcing engagements for the utilities and communications industries.

Tierro has held key management roles in the Philippines as systems integration service group lead and the communications media and technology lead. She has also driven Accenture’s industrialization program in the Philippines.

Tierro, along with Country Managing Director Manolito Tayag and BPO Lead Benedict Hernandez comprise Accenture’s top leadership in the Philippines.
