Vista Land taps Bayan for ‘phonewords’ system

Bayan Business, the corporate solutions arm of Bayan Telecommunications, is pioneering a first in the real estate business by deploying a contact center solution hotline, 02 Camella (2263552) for the Vista Land Group of Companies via phonewords system.

Phonewords are easier to remember than numeric phone numbers and have proven to be effective in terms of easy recall and response rates.

The 02 Camella project is an innovation that paves the way for a single contact number for the customer service needs of Vista Land clients, regardless of which contact center is taking the call. Such a system is common in the fast moving consumer goods and food retail industry, but unprecedented in the real estate industry.

Manuel Paolo Villar, president and CEO, Vista Land & Lifescapes, said the pilot number, 02 Camella, will connect their head office to all their remote sites located nationwide.

?A project of this scale has never been done before in the real estate industry, and with the help of our telecom service partner Bayan and technology partner Alcatel Lucent and solutions provider Logic Solutions, we are confident that we will be able to deliver the promise of the vision of this innovation in the real estate industry that will bring Vista Land closer to its customers,? Villar said.

According to a property market report by Colliers International Philippines released in March 2012, Vista Land & Lifescapes is the largest homebuilder in the country.

The report said that based on a market scan of various vertical and horizontal residential projects in the Philippines developed by 14 major players in the real estate industry, Vista Land captured 22 percent of the over 80,000 units of reservation sales in 2011 with the middle-income as their primary market.

One benefit of the O2 Camella project is that the intra company IP or Internet protocol based system is expected to significantly drive down operational costs for long distance calls and improve overall efficiency and processing of customer inquiries.

The system will be supported by structured cabling across Vista Land offices. Advanced data and voice infrastructure will enable Vista Land’s network to handle voice over an IP PBX system or a business telephone based system that will link and deliver data to more than 60 sites nationwide.

Initial phase of the deployment in the Vista Land headquarters in Mandaluyong City and throughout its other offices in Metro Manila, including key provincial offices, was completed during the last quarter of 2012.

The system is now up and running and currently Vista Land is completing the final phase of the deployment in all of its provincial offices across the country. The unified system will be rolled out to every new site; thus, linking current and future Vista Land offices in an integrated telephony system.

Vista Land is the holding company of five business units, namely Brittany, Crown Asia, Camella, Communities Philippines and Vista Residences.

It is the market leader by far in terms of total number of houses built, having constructed more than 250,000 homes in 31 provinces, and 63 cities and municipalities in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
