Asiasoft launches free-to-play football game in PH, 4 SE Asian nations

Asiasoft Online has announced the start of closed beta testing (CBT) for the hit free-to-play football management game Football Club Manager (FCM), which will serve players in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

Developed in Korea by HanbitSoft and T3 Entertainment, FCM allows football fans to live their dreams of taking the reins of their dream football clubs and winning titles for their teams.

FCM players will go through the exciting process of building the best line-up by recruiting, training and trading football players, as well as finding the winning formations, tactics and strategies for their line-ups.

During matches, players can make on-the-fly decisions such as substitution and team adjustments, including changing of formations, tempo, passing styles, offensive/defensive mentality and more.

FCM features more than 5,000 FIFPro licensed professional football players from world class leagues such as England’s Premier League, Spain’s La Liga, Italy’s Serie A and German’s Bundesliga.

These players have statistics and skills that are based on their real-life counterparts, providing an additional layer of realism to simulate the dynamic and exhilarating experience of actual football management.

The English service of FCM will feature renowned sports and video game personality Kelly Latimer, who has previously hosted numerous regional football and video game shows on ESPN Start Sports and Fox Sports.

Kelly will appear in the near-future version of the game to provide in-game pointers to new users, and will also be the official face of FCM, appearing in all promotional materials for the game.

During the CBT period, Asiasoft Online will release the “That’s How It’s Done in FCM” video series, which captures the highlights of playing as a football manager in FCM.

Kelly Latimer will also be featured in the video series as a post-match interviewer, getting answers from the Manager on “how it’s done in FCM ” to achieve victories. The videos can be viewed at FCM microsite.

“Football is possibly the most popular sport in most Southeast Asian countries and we believe football management has been one of the most exciting aspects of the game for avid fans,” said Sherman Tan,chairman of Asiasoft Online.

FCM’s CBT starts on 18th July 2013 at 1300hrs (+8 GMT) and ends on July 30, 2013 at 1100hrs (+8 GMT). Open Beta (OBT) is slated to start on August 6, 2013, and will also see the opening of the in-game cash shop where players can purchase optional enhancements to improve their gaming experience.
