Samsung intros SideSync technology in PH

The local subsidiary of Korean consumer tech giant Samsung has introduced in the country the Side Sync, an application that bridges the gap between Samsung Android devices and Samsung PCs.

Side Sync, much like its name, allows consumers to manage and access all their information, side by side. With music, videos, and photos all over their different devices, Side Sync allows it users with seamless sharing of files between their different devices.

Samsung users can experience Side Sync by connecting their phones via USB port. A pop-up window will then explain the different modes that can help manage file sharing easier, accompanied by an introduction to the program?s Auto-Back up feature that charges their phones and ensures all their information will stay current and up to date.

Through the installation of the software, users are given the venue where they can synchronize their PC and smartphones. It is the newest PC-mobile solution that allows users to share screens, windows, and data through the click of a button.

The three main features of Side Sync are: Keyboard and mouse sharing mode, phone screen sharing mode, and simultaneous sharing and automatic contents backup mode.

With the SideSync, the keyboard and mouse in not just for the PC anymore. Users can type on their mobile with a full-sized keyboard or navigate the mobile with a mouse.

Users can move the mouse to the mobile screen and the cursor will move from the PC to the mobile screen seamlessly. They can click on the mobile screen to activate the keyboard.

SideSync also allows users to transfer music, photos, videos, games with a simple drag and drop. Using the mouse, users can click to drag folders from the PC screen to the mobile screen and vice-versa. Files are saved in designated folders for retrieval.

Mobile data is also automatically backed up every time users connect to SideSync. As a bonus, all this happens while the mobile phone is being recharged.

The Korean firm said the technology is exclusive to Samsung ATIV Book/One/Tab and is only compatible with Samsung phones or tablets running on Jelly Bean OS (and recent versions of Android).
