HP opens 3rd BPO site in PH, vows ‘new style of IT’

Technology giant HP vowed to advance further the so-called “New Style in IT” as the company marked the 10th anniversary of its global delivery presence in the country and at the same time unveiled its third local facility.

The new facility, located in Two Cyberpod Centris in Quezon City, will house an HP Executive Briefing Center to showcase HP’s innovative solutions and services for its global clients.

Bruce Dahlgren, senior vice president and general manager of HP Enterprise Services for Asia Pacific and Japan, said HP looks forward to supporting the new IT tack in vibrant, knowledge-driven markets such as the Philippines.

“With 10 years of global services delivery in the Philippines, our new operations in the Two Cyberpod Centris will help clients and partners capitalize on HP?s innovative technology, support and services to drive sustainable business growth and prosperity,” Dahlgren said.

The executive said with technologically advanced and secured facilities, Two Cyberpod Centris will also serve as a business continuity and recovery center for HP.

“The facility will host key service lines and the Philippines is a significant area we want to invest,” Dahlgren said. “It’s great to be here in this wonderful country.”

Dahlgren said among HP’s goal is to help companies create systems that will improve business operations, shift from traditional IT to modern, and gain more customers, among others.

Aside from the Quezon City site, the company also facilities in the cities of Makati and Taguig.

Formally launched in 2003, the HP Global Delivery Center in the Philippines (HP GDPC) was established as one of six HP global delivery hubs, which enables the delivery of applications, IT outsourcing, and business process outsourcing services to clients around the world.
