PLDT installs integrated ICT in Solaire’s gaming operations

Dominant carrier PLDT, through its corporate enterprise arm PLDT Alpha Enterprise, has been tapped to provide integrated ICT solution in the management and operations of Solaire Resort and Casino.

Touted as the Philippines’ top integrated casino resort located in Pagcor?s Entertainment City project in Paranaque City, Solaire?s operations and IT requirements expands to more than 18,500 square meters of casino area and gaming space, with complete amenities and 500 appointed rooms.

Owned by Bloomberry Resorts Corp., the $1-billion destination resort casino aims to hire 4,600 employees for its first phase to serve its expansive operations in various departments including gaming, hotel management, engineering, and managerial units.

?Because of Solaire?s magnitude and operations, technology is absolutely essential to the business. In addition to helping provide consistently excellent customer experience across all Solaire outlets, IT must also ?integrate? different revenue streams from these same diverse outlets,? said Solaire vice president for IT operations Gregory Dauenhauer.

?PLDT was the only one we could count on to achieve ICT integration in the short window of time available. They brought together the platforms, the subject matter experts, the technologies that were crucial to Solaire?s gaming experience,? he added.

PLDT?s end-to-end ICT solutions enables the casino resort?s management integration of its growing operations with exclusive high-bandwidth i-Gate, vanity numbers, IP-Virtual Private Network, PABX, and undiluted WiFi in the building?s multiple spaces and exclusive upper levels.

?The magnificent rise of Solaire also promises economic multipliers downstream. We at PLDT are filled with pride to be chosen as Solaire?s key ICT partner in becoming a stellar international gaming and entertainment destination,? PLDT Alpha Enterprise head Jovy Hernandez said.

Solaire has since started operations in the first quarter of 2013 and has announced the successful opening of its Phase 1 facilities and expects completion of its Phase 1-A expansion by the third quarter of 2014 which includes a 308-room all-suite hotel tower, a high-end retail area, a 1,800-seater lyrical theater and more restaurants.
