Mobile device company HTC previewed in the country on Sept. 6, Friday, its two latest smartphones targeted for both upscale and midscale markets.

The HTC Butterfly S

During a presser at its headquarters in Bonifacio Global City, HTC executives presented to the media the Butterfly S and Desire 600, both described as “go-to smartphones” by having batteries that can standby for two to three weeks.

HTC marketing head Francisco Torno said the Desire 600 is already available in store shelves, while the Butterfly S will hit the stores this weekend.

The prices for the Butterfly S and Desire 600 are at P37,990 and P18,990, respectively.

Torno noted the Desire 600 is HTC’s first dual SIM phone designed for mid-scale users.

The Butterfly S, meanwhile, sports a Super LCD 3 display and a 5-inch Gorilla Glass 3, which said to be scratch-resistant. Its 4-UltraPixel camera can capture up to 300 percent more light than most 13 megapixel cameras.

It also has 28mm wide angle lens with an F/2.0 aperture that helps produce crisp images in vibrant colors from any angle.

Available in black, white, red and grey colors, the Butterfly S also has HTC BoomSound dual front-facing speakers with built-in amplifiers that blast hi-fi sounds directed and not away from the user.

It has built-in Beats Audio profile, an HTC technology that optimizes the sound to a specific headset.

Butterfly S also features a 3200mAh battery, said to be capable of 25 hours talk time with 3G or 659 hours on standby. The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 600 quad-core1.9GHz processor for speed performance in Web browsing, gaming and multi-tasking.

The Desire 600, on the other hand, measures 4.5 inches with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 1.2GHz processor and brims with HTC features such as BlinkFeed, Sense 5 UI, BoomSound and Video Highlights. It is available in black and white colors.
