Mobile app, online store for papal visit target OFWs

Radio Veritas Foundation, in partnership with Lozatech Digital Marketing Inc. (LDMI), launched early this month an online store for papal merchandise as well as a mobile application focused on overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

OFWs may now order commemorative merchandise at the online store, including a papal pouch that has several valuable and memorable items inside, in honor for Pope Francis’ upcoming visit to the Philippines.

Shipping will initially be confined in the Philippines, but will soon include major cities worldwide.

“We are looking forward to launching this program and ensuring that proceeds will benefit Veritas Foundation, Caritas social programs, and evangelical programming,” stated Ian Atienza, president of LDMI.

LDMI said it is allocating major resources to create multiple avenues for the OFW community to get involved with the historic papal visit in January 2015.

“Lozatech Digital Marketing has developed a mobile broadcasting application named GPN Live App to deliver papal content for free to our OFWs worldwide,” said Atienza.

“The app will deliver entertainment in short form as well, advisories regarding employment notices, travel and health, and short film formatted for mobile viewing, to audiences worldwide.”

The app is available on Android and iOS platforms.
