The Ateneo Management Information Systems Association is holding its first hackathon dubbed ?A-Hacks 2015 #Hackstrong? to celebrate its 20th anniversary next year.
The organization is staging the hackathon in partnership with open source firm 8Layer Technologies and the Ateneo Department of Information Systems and Computer Science.
The event, which will be open to undergraduate university students, will be held on January 10 to 11, 2015, starting at 8 in the morning and ending 8 in the evening.
The proponents of the hackathon said the objective of the event is to gather undergraduate students from all over the National Capital Region and make use of their programming knowledge in creating programs and applications that will help promote social development.
Teams will be composed of 3-5 students (unlimited teams per university) and must submit an application form December 1, 2014 to December 14, 2014.
Application forms will be reviewed by the organizing committee and results for accepted participants will be released on December 19, 2014.
