TheNet.Com announces e-gaming tournament schedule

Computer rental and Internet hub TheNet.Com announced the opening of the ?TNC eSports Cup 2015,? a series of gaming events spread over 9 months.

The tournament is part of efforts for TheNet.Com to promote e-sports in the country, the company said.

E-sports is widely defined as competitive computer gaming that is organized and often offers prize money. The most popular variants of e-sports today are real-time strategy, fighting, first-person shooter, and multiplayer online battle arena.

TheNet.Com said the ?TNC eSports Cup 2015? will feature tournament legs involving four major games such as Dota 2, League of Legends, Dragon Nest, and Crossfire.

The schedule calls for a ?free for all? on March to July, the ?playoffs? from August to October, and the grand finale in November.

The venue for the finals will be at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium. Other game details can be found on the official website.
