Smart reports 63% surge in mobile data revenues

Smart Communications reported a 63% increase in its mobile data revenues from P5 billion in 2013 to P8.1 billion in 2014.

Smart said following the surge of mobile Internet usage among its subscribers, the firm is now bundling its top prepaid call and text offers with free Internet access to further stimulate mobile web traffic.

Under this promo, Smart prepaid subscribers all over the country who top up and subscribe to various call and text offers will also get to enjoy up to 30MB worth of free data per day, without any need to sign up or register.
