Dominant carrier PLDT has rolled out a new “Triple Play” offering that aims to address the communication and entertainment needs of Filipino homes in just one package.
PLDT Home DSL subscribers can now enjoy a three-in-one product bundle, which includes family-sized Internet from PLDT Home DSL, access to digital TV channels from Cignal, and PLDT landline connection.
The launch of the PLDT Home DSL Triple Play service reinforces the company’s growing entertainment content portfolio which already included live channels running on broadband and movie on demand offers.
“All of our products and services are designed to build and fortify the digitally connected Filipino home,” said PLDT EVP and head of home business Ariel P. Fermin.
“As the first telco to offer digital TV over broadband early last year, the introduction of Triple Play on PLDT Home DSL will allow more of our subscribers to access digital channels using their family-sized connection, at an affordable price. This strategic partnership with Cignal will help us level up home entertainment for our subscribers as we establish the strongest connections at home,” Fermin added.
PLDT Home DSL subscribers can now enjoy up to 93 digital TV channels from Cignal, including NBA Premium and Cignal-exclusive channel Disney XD when they upgrade or sign up for the Triple Play plan.
“Triple Play will amplify the trusted benefits of PLDT Home DSL. With this service, we are glad to offer to our customers the best TV programs from Cignal that the whole family can enjoy for as low as P1699 per month or just add P400 on their existing Home DSL Plan. We are making family sized entertainment more accessible to Filipino homes,” said PLDT vice president and head of home marketing Gary Dujali.
In 2014, PLDT Home DSL reached its one-millionth-subscriber mark, effectively strengthening its leadership in broadband services.
Subscribers who sign up for or upgrade to a PLDT Home DSL Triple Play bundle until April 30 can watch the highly anticipated Pacquiao-Mayweather match for free, on May 3, via Front Seat, the Philippines biggest online entertainment service.
