The company?s local office launched SWG recently in Makati City in conjunction with DocuWorld 2016 Conference, its annual event that assembles customers and Fuji Xerox experts from the Asia Pacific region.

Fuji Xerox APAC also introduced at the event 14 new cloud-enabled, digital color multi-function devices under its ApeosPort-VI C and DocuCenter-VI C Series to drive work process transformation anchored on SWG.

The devices are integrated with the new Cloud Service Hub, which is a new platform linking the devices with various cloud services.

Masahi Honda, Fuji Xerox APAC president and CEO, revealed that the SWG concept was developed in response to the rapidly growing demands of its customers — demands that conventional multi-function devices alone are unable to meet.

He added that the company will continue to expand the ecosystem through collaborations more partners, transforming a multi-function device’s role into a communication portal.

The concept’s value propositions include seamless integration with cloud services, mobile security, document workflow, and simplified management.

John Cheal, Fuji Xerox senior manager, said the SWG platform is designed to be an ecosystem from Fuji Xerox containing multi-function devices, software, on-board solutions and attachments and connectors to cloud services.

He said these things have been in the market for sometime, but they have never been offered in one package. With SWG, we really tried to make cloud services, mobility with security, and simple workflow accessible to a business user and not just the technical user,” said Cheal.

Along with the concept, Fuji Xerox designed SWG with a series of support arrangements available — from traditional on-site analyst support to concierge remote support services that are available over the telephone.

Cheal assured customers that company experts will work with them to ensure that SWG is compliant with whatever IT arrangements and IT security practices they already have.

“This device is specifically well-suited and well-targeted to SMEs, to enterprise-level IT and business process in-house, making it very simple to use,” he said.

The ApeosPort-VI C Series includes C7771, C6671, C5571, C4471, C3371, C3370, and C2271. The DocuCenter-VI C Series, meanwhile, are C7771, C6671, C5571, C4471, C3371, C3370, and C2271.
