Javinas went home with a 25-kilogram trophy and $150,000 (about P7 million) in prize money, purportedly the highest e-sports winnings ever achieved by an individual Filipino player.

His triumph comes after a team of Filipino team dubbed TNC Pro defeated a European team — also at the WESG — to win $800,000 grand prize (about P40 million), reputedly the biggest cash that a Filipino team has won in e-sports.

Javinas dominated in the Hearthstone online game contest – a game he has been playing full-time for a while now. He first made waves in early 2016 by qualifying to represent Southeast Asia at the Winter HCT Championship in the US.

With the win, he now becomes the fifth player with the highest total earnings from Hearthstone tournaments, according to wiki-teamliquid.net. He also attained his highest rank of his career, reaching fourth in Asia and 53rd in the world after his WESG victory.
