With the introduction of the Excite Prime 2 and Excite Prime 2 Pro, local smartphone brand Cloudfone has set its selfie campaign in motion following the company’s?sales growth of 11% in the first half of 2017, according to study results conducted by GFK in the Philippines.
From data gathered last year, ?the world uploads 93 million selfies a day on Android alone.? In 2014, Makati was crowned the Selfie-Capital of the Planet with over 258+ selfies uploaded for every 100,000 individuals. Cebu City ranked No. 9 in the world, Quezon City ranked No. 59, and Iloilo at No. 72.
According to GFK Philippines, entry-level smartphones in 2017 from January to April accounted for 36% of total smartphone sales, and a quick glance of entry level smartphones in the country revealed that the camera mega pixels usually only play around 1.3MP to 4MP.
Cloudfone’s selfie technology will be a company-wide shift in direction, believing in the vision of being able to deliver awesome selfie camera technology. The company’s propriety user interface (UI) combined with powerful cameras enables users to produce bokeh effect, portrait mode, and more, with the help of Sony IMX 135 sensor, F2.0 Aperture, and Torch.
This July 2017, the Cloudfone Excite Prime 2 and Excite Prime 2 Pro will hit the market.
The Excite Prime 2 offers a camera UI that enables consumers to capture moments in 13- and 8-megapixel quality being powered by Sony IMX135 Sensor, Front and Rear Lights, and enhanced by Portrait Mode (Bokeh Effect), Super Pixel Mode, and Face Beauty. Running Android 7.0 Nougat, it stores 32GB worth of memory with 3GB RAM, Band-28 LTE, and 3,000mAh Battery.
Meanwhile, the Excite Prime 2 Pro scales up the former’s skill set with 20-megapixel selfie camera and 13-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual rear camera. It has an advanced Portrait Mode (Bokeh Effect) in both front and rear positions, Super Pixel Mode, Time Lapse, Soft Light, and Face Beauty. Also, the Excite Prime 2 Pro will be released with a more powerful set of specs with increased memory (64GB ROM, 4GB RAM), and faster connectivity (Band-28 LTE).
