Taiwanese tech titan Acer held its biggest brand event dubbed “Acer Day” last August 7 as it rolled out its “Grand Ball Pit Party” celebration at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City.
The Philippine celebration came after the grand launch of the event on August 3. Acer is taking its campaign to further endear itself in 14 countries to include China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, and Vietnam. The company has presence in more than 160 countries and over 7,000 employees.
Owing to this celebration, from this year on, August 3 will be celebrated worldwide yearly as “Acer Day” aimed at injecting “new life into” the tech and innovation brand. The company hopes that consumers become more familiar with its wide range of products.
“Acer Day was conceptualized to continually refresh and breathe new life into the brand, as well as to boost the public’s awareness and knowledge about Acer products. This year’s celebration is the first of many to come, and consumers can trust that it will only get better from here,” sales and marketing director Sue Ong-Lim of Acer Philippines said.
Acer president of Pan Asia Pacific Region Andrew Hou revealed that the event’s grand opening date was made particularly for a special purpose because eight-third (8/3) sounds like “Acer.”
For this year, the event is themed “Be cool everyday,” which takes inspiration from and focused on Acer’s AeroBlade 3D fan. The company said its AeroBlade technology makes possible the use of the world’s thinnest metal fan blade to provide advanced aerodynamics and airflow performance to keep the system at a low temperature.
As early as July 21, the event website of Acer Day went online and will continue to be live until?October 3.
On the website, customers may log in with their social media accounts should they want to participate and win in 11 daily challenges, among them, memory puzzles, friend sharing games, and other fun challenges where they can earn “Cool Points.”
These cool points will allow players to exchange them for raffle tickets to win five Acer Swift 7, one Acer Spin, and three Predator Helios 300 to be drawn on?October 11.
