The solutions, shown during the SAP Asian Innovator’s Summit on Aug. 17 at Makati Shangri-la Hotel, make use of advances in Big Data and analytics, SAP Cloud Platform, machine learning, and other technologies to enable companies to act on real-time, data-driven insights and bring them further along the route of digital transformation.

“As Philippine businesses transform to become digital enterprises, it is important for them to recalibrate their approach to technology and understand how digital solutions can help them intelligently connect people, things, and processes across the enterprise,“ said SAP Philippines country managing director Ryan Poggi during the media roundtable.

“This is the winning mindset that will help them become digital leaders in their respective industries,” Poggi added.

Foremost in this suite of IoT solutions is SAP Leonardo IoT Bridge, a live configurable digital command center which converges, correlates, and contextualizes IoT sensor data with business processes and structured and unstructured data.

Another solution is the SAP Global Track and Trace, a cloud-based offering built on Big Data architecture which performs end-to-end tracking, monitoring, and reporting of objects and business processes moving and operating within the supply chain.

Using delivery, shipment, handling unit and vehicle number unit data from SAP Global Track and Trace and additional important information from other SAP softwares, the SAP Leonardo IoT Bridge can inform the command center and operations leads about where a shipment is in transit, what is in the shipment, as well as condition and performance of the vehicle.

Also belonging to this suite of IoT softwares are SAP Leonardo IoT Edge and SAP Digital Manufacturing Insights which work together to provide information and business data needed for smart decision-making.

The last of these solutions is SAP Asset Manager. A product of the SAP-Apple partnership, SAP Asset Manager is a cloud-based mobile app for managing asset health, inventory, maintenance, and safety.

“Data is the new gold for digital enterprises. SAP allows organizations to act instantly through real-time, data-driven insights to deliver delightful, meaningful experiences to their customers, employees, suppliers, and partners,” said SAP Southeast Asia president and managing director Claus Andresen.

“Delay is the difference between the disruptor and the disrupted,” Poggi added.

SAP Southeast Asia head of analytics and insight Kathleen Muller explained the significance of such urgency, revealing that most CEOs today see the next three years as the most critical period for their organizations.
