Samsung Philippines has debuted the Soundbar product line in the local market, announcing its suggested retail price during its launch held at One Global City in Taguig City.
Focused on bringing the cinematic experience to homes, the Korean electronics giant engineered the Soundbar lineup in the Samsung Audio Lab in California to help the product embody the next-generation of home theater experience.
Entering the soundbar market is the Soundbar with Dolby Atmos Technology (HW-K950) and the Soundbar Sound+ (HW-MS751 and HW-MS6501).
Soundbar with Dolby Atmos Technology (HW-K950)
The HW-K950 is equipped with a 5.1.4 channel system and houses a total of 15 speakers, each with dedicated amplifiers to enhance TV sound. It’s the industry’s first Soundbar package to include two Dolby Atmos-enabled up-firing speakers in the Soundbar and two wireless rear up-firing speakers.
Energized by Dolby Atmos technology, the K950 sits down consumers to experience sound that comes from all directions without the need of installing ceiling speakers. It also produces three-dimensional audio that crawls across the room. The Samsung Soundbar with Dolby Atmos Technology also uses wide-range tweeters.
The HW-K950 is capable of connecting the Soundbar wirelessly to your TV or smartphone without the clutter of cables. It automatically pairs wirelessly to the subwoofer and rear speaker units, even when your smartphone or cast devices connected to it. The Soundbar’s Wi-Fi connectivity can also access from diverse sources using the Samsung Multiroom App.
Carrying six sound modes (Standard, Music, Movie, Clear Voice, Sports, and Night Mode), the K950’s Surround Sound Expansion Plus allows upmixing of any content to Dolby Atmos level playing 4K content seamlessly to match cinematic sound with 4K picture quality.

It enters the market with 5 channels (front left, front right, center, top left and top right) and a total of 11 built-in speakers, each with dedicated amplifiers, including three wide-range tweeters, six woofers, and two vertical wide-range tweeters.
