Vivo slashes price of selfie smartphones V5 and V5Plus

Smartphone manufacturer Vivo has cut the price of the Vivo V5 and V5plus smartphones which are now available at P10,990 and P16,990, respectively. The V5 was previously priced at P12,990 while the V5plus was at P19,990 before the price drop.

V5

Launched last November 2016, the Vivo V5 boasts a 20-Megapixel front camera featuring a 1/2.78? Sony IMX376 camera sensor coupled with a 5P lens system and an aperture of f/2.0, the first in the smartphone arena when it was launched.

At the back, it is paired with a 13-Megapixel PDAF rear camera also present in its predecessors, the V3 and V3 Max.

It?s packed with 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB of external storage) and an octacore processor which allow a fluid user-experience even while multitasking.

Vivo stays true to its new slogan ?camera and music? refining the music experience for its users even further with the development of the AK4376 Hi-Fi chipset.

The V5 sports an elegant unibody design with a 5.5 inch, 720p, Corning gorilla glass display. Some notable features also include the device running on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 with Funtouch OS and a 3000 mAh battery designed for the ultimate selfie experience.

V5 plus

The Vivo V5 Plus is equipped with the world?s first dual front camera ? a combination of a 20-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel secondary camera, designed to collect depth-of-field information.

With its dual front camera, the Vivo V5 Plus can create a true ?bokeh? effect on the spot, producing photos with sharp face details, but beautifully blurred backgrounds.

According to Vivo Philippines, the V5 Plus has the most advanced selfie technology to date, with features like the beauty mode 6.0 ? a built-in, easy-to-use camera option for enhancing skin tone and removing blemishes ? and the selfie soft light, which enables users to take high-definition selfies even in poor lighting conditions.

The Vivo V5 Plus features a 1/2.8-inch 16-megapixel sensor rear camera with an ultra HD mode, designed to improve photo quality for up to 64 megapixels, and a professional mode for manual configuration of camera settings before taking photos.

Sound-wise, the Vivo V5 Plus features the same Hi-Fi system of previous Vivo models, perfected over two years ? the AK4376.

On speed and performance, the Vivo V5 Plus has a 4GB RAM 64GB ROM, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, fast and efficient enough to perform multiple phone tasks at the same time. The phone runs on Vivo?s very own Funtouch 3.0 OS, based on Android 6.0.

The phone?s style values both sophistication and convenience, with a 5.5-inch large display and an ultra-slim bezel technology, which means users will be able to enjoy a large display while operating the phone with only one hand, just as they do with 5.2-inch phones.

On battery life, the Vivo V5 Plus has a 3160 mAh battery with a fast-charging feature, ideal for highly mobile people.

Finally, with an upgraded fingerprint technology, users can unlock the Vivo V5 Plus with one touch, in just 0.2 seconds.
