“We train our sales people to help customers in the decision-making process,” Eric Sulit, president and CEO of Ricoh Philippines, said in a press launch of the company’s newest printing machines held in Makati City. “If our customers started using inferior machines, they now realized that getting the proper machines is more important in the long run.”

In response to the demand of the market for leading-edge printing solutions, he said Ricoh launched the ProC5200s, which is designed to save on costs, the Ricoh executive added. “This addresses the needs of urgent print requirements at just the right quantity with high quality outputs,” he said.

Besides being able to print 65 pages per minute (ppm) at 1,200 x 4,800 dpi VCSEL quality, it also has a duty cycle of up to 300,000 pages per month.

Moreover, print quality is enhanced by a fusing belt, which provides more consistent transfers and toner adhesion on specialty stocks. It also allows printing across a wide range of media and with a variety of finishing options.

These features allow “commercial and office printing operations to expand their capabilities and service offerings,” added Sulit. “This product allows our customers to adapt to the growing demands of their businesses at a reasonable cost.”

With a total paper capacity of up to 8,250 sheets, the machine has four paper trays, ensuring users of extended stretches of production time even when switching among several media types. It has relevant features such as product’s tight registration, saddle-stitching, embedded Paper Library, and folding capabilities that makes it suitable for booklet production.

Sulit said the C5200s can also perform heavy-duty function by printing on thick stock of up to 360 gsm or 13″ x 19.2″ in size to produce direct mail, menus, or other items that must be distinct and durable. The C5200s can also be relied on for lighter jobs such as postcards and envelopes, which can be done by feeding coated and textured paper through the optional media trays.
