Everest SUV tows Ford to its best-ever quarter in PH

Ford Philippines has announced a record September performance with retail sales increasing 19-percent year-over-year to 3,154 vehicles led by continued strong demand for the Everest, EcoSport, and Ranger.

The record month capped Ford?s best-ever quarter in the Philippines, delivering third quarter sales that increased 12 percent from a year ago to 9,293 vehicles.

?The Everest, EcoSport and Ranger continue to drive our sales momentum,? said Bertrand Lessard, managing director of Ford Philippines.

?We?ve been running some very attractive nationwide campaigns, and with the impending excise tax changes, we?re expecting our Ford showrooms will continue to be busy through year-end. We?re thankful that more and more customers are choosing Ford for their vehicles.?

The Everest SUV remained Ford?s best-selling vehicle in the country with September sales rising 37 percent from a year ago to 1,151 vehicles, helping drive its total year-to-date sales to 8,948 vehicles.

Engineered for the extraordinary, the Everest redefines consumer expectations for a mid-size SUV with its bold design and refined interior, off-road capability with on-road comfort.

September sales of the versatile Ranger pickup truck rose 47 percent year-over-year to 951 vehicles, driving its year-to-date sales up 26 percent to 7,501 vehicles.

Available in a range of 15 variants in the Philippines, the ?Built Ford Tough? Ranger is the second-best selling pickup truck in the country.

The EcoSport compact SUV posted retail sales of 837 vehicles in September, helping year-to-date sales rise by 12 percent to 7,850 vehicles, making it one of the best-selling vehicles in the segment it helped pioneer.

Ford?s North American-built models also contributed to the record September and quarter. September sales of the premium Explorer SUV rose 34 percent to 119 vehicles, pushing third quarter sales to 292 vehicles.

The Mustang sports car delivered September sales of 39 vehicles, boosting its quarterly sales to 115 vehicles.
