“Several countries in the region have already completed the local legs of the competition. Now, it’s time for Filipinos to flaunt their skills and earn their spot at the Canon Photomarathon grand finals in Japan next year,” said Kazuhiro Ozawa, president and CEO of Canon Marketing Philippines.

“We have notice that more people are interested in photography than ever before.  This competition is the perfect platform for them to showcase their innate talent and creativity in capturing compelling photos.”

Judged by esteemed Canon Philippines brand ambassadors, Ruben Ranin has been named this year’s overall champion and the Philippines’ representative at the Canon Photomarathon grand finals in Japan next year. Ranin also received a brand new Canon 6D Mark 2 DSLR, Datacolor Spyder monitor calibrator, six-month membership in Fitness First, and more.

The M100 is also equipped with a 24.2-megapixel CMOS (APS-C) sensor, producing dynamic and vibrant images in a larger scale. It is backed up by a DIGIC 7 image processor to aid the low-light situations with fast operation and minimal noise while using high ISO settings.

Compact as it may seem, the M100 can capture 1080p Full HD videos at 60 frames per second (fps), allowing users to turn the video’s time slower in post-production smoothly.
