UnionBank embraces digital HR with Oracle HCM

UnionBank of the Philippines (UBP) has moved into the cloud through Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) in pursuit of its goal of becoming a digital bank.

“We are very much a technology-driven bank and that’s why this partnership with Oracle is very interesting. We said before that to become a digital bank, we have to digitize our processes which means we have to adopt the Six Sigma into our practices. We also have to be safe and secure in all our transactions,” elaborated Michelle Rubio, senior vice president and human resource director at UnionBank.

More than that, the desire to go for an end-to-end process automation which will modernize their HR practices fuelled the bank’s decision jump into the Oracle HCM Cloud.

With HR playing the main role of looking for ways to fuel the bank’s digitization through digital means, UBP believes that providing employees the best experience will result to a more engaged and enthusiastic employee thus, delivering a highly-satisfactory services to customers as well.
