Homegrown tech firm eyes logistics companies for new solution

Filipino-owned systems integrator and software maker Appcentric Solutions Inc. has rolled out its latest product that targets logistics firms such as couriers and shipping companies.


Dubbed as “TrackCentric,” the solution is a real-time GPS-enabled delivery monitoring system that works on a mobile device and connects to the Trackcentric portal.

It provides real-time information on the location of a company’s trucks and the status of the deliveries inside the vehicles. It also provides useful reports on the performance of deliveries such as how long a customer takes to receive the delivery, and on which days they are quicker.

Delivery truck planning can be done in the TrackCentric website or can be interfaced from a company’s existing truck planning or ERP system.

TrackCentric has a proof-of-delivery function wherein actual accepted quantities can be encoded in the app. The data can be interfaced back in the ERP system to trigger proper billing or any adjustments necessary.

The app can take a photo of the signed paper delivery documents, signatures (electronic pen) and send these back to the ERP system as proof of delivery.

Trackcentric can work offline when no cellular or WiFi connectivity is available. Data is still gathered on the mobile device and synced as soon as data connection is available again.

TrackCentric also natively accepts SAP standard data format standards and can be interfaced through an API-based interface, FTP text file-based interface, among others.
