AMD ties up with Qualcomm for Ryzen mobile processors

Computer technology giant AMD disclosed a tie-up with mobile chip maker Qualcomm for smooth and fast PC connectivity solutions to AMD’s Ryzen mobile processors featuring the fast processor for ultrathin notebooks.

With Qualcomm Snapdragon LTE modem solutions, AMD and Qualcomm plan to make it easy for global PC companies to create premium computing platforms with Always Connected, Gigabit LTE speeds alongside the AMD Ryzen mobile processors’ performance, graphics rendering, and efficiency.

“Both AMD and Qualcomm have shown a consistent commitment to delivering products that redefine next-generation mobile user experiences,” said Kevin Lensing, corporate vice president and general manager for client computing at AMD. “OEMs around the world will now be able to combine the recently announced AMD Ryzen mobile processors with Qualcomm’s leading wireless solutions via their Snapdragon LTE modem family to achieve new levels of performance, connectivity, and capability for ultrathin notebook PCs.”

The AMD Ryzen mobile processors with Radeon Vega graphics feature a fast processor for ultrathin notebooks. They provide performance up to 2.7 times the CPU performance and up to 2.2 times the GPU performance generationaly.

It supports popular eSports titles powering the most advanced and beautiful displays including HDR, Radeon FreeSync 2, and 4K monitors. These processors also target up to two times battery life improvement.
