The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) raised Alert Level 4 over Mount Mayon on Monday afternoon, January 22. The alert means that there could be “imminent hazardous eruption” within days.
With this, the danger zone around the volcano has been extended to eight kilometers.
