Oppo takes part in OPM celebration in 2018 UP Fair weekend

Original Pinoy Music (OPM) was celebrated in a music-filled weekend at the week-long 2018 UP Fair at the university’s Sunken Garden in UP Diliman last Feb. 17.

Echoing timely advocacies, the annual UP Fair features homegrown UP talents and celebrates local Pinoy music.

Smartphone company Oppo Philippines partnered with organizers UP Economics Society and UP Underground Music Community for this year’s edition of Roots Music Festival.

Hit songs from bands Urbandub, IV of Spades, Sandwich, Imago, Autotelic, Orange and Lemons, Pedicab, and Ben & Ben highlighted this year’s Roots installment with more than 14,000 in attendance.

“UP Fair has always been known to bring in joy and excitement to a lot of students by giving them a chance to fully enjoy the prime of their youth and the opportunity to celebrate music with a cause,” Oppo Philippines public relations manager Eason De Guzman said.

Oppo gave away F5 Red smartphones during the event as fairgoers visited the company’s Hoops Booth.

“We wanted to be a part of this initiative because Oppo believes that every moment in our lives deserve to be captured and treasured especially for the youth,” De Guzman added.
