Dedicated gamers from all over the Philippines flocked to the SM North Edsa Skydome last Sunday, June 24, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) Cabal.

Since its launch in the country on June 12, 2008, Cabal has become the longest-running MMORPG in the Philippines with over 200,000 monthly active users.

Online gaming portal Playpark hosted the celebration for its 3,000 attendees. They entertained visiting gamers with a variety of activities, including the Cabal 5V5 Carnage tournament held as semi-finals for the Playpark All Stars tournament.

Four groups of Filipino Cabal gamers battled for the right to be one of the two teams participating in Playpark All Stars set for August 19. Team YesPogi earned the first spot and will be competing as a grand finalist.

Other activities held during the event were the Guild Rally Contest, Mr. and Ms. Nevareth Beauty Pagent, Cosplay Competition, and show matches between celebrated players of another Playpark published game, Audition Next Level.

Playpark also brought in bands such as Chicosci, Japhdolls, YOU, Skoolservice, SnakeFight, Dhruva Tara, and Urie’s Attack.

“Ten years na tayo nagsasama, ten years na ang pamilya natin, and we are looking forward to another ten more years of Cabal in the Philippines,” declared Apol Dionglay, general manager of Playpark. .
