Viral | PGH doctor uses Twitter to ask help for little boy with psoriasis

A high-profile media personality recently tried to shame a Philippine General Hospital (PGH) doctor stationed at the emergency room (ER). The doctor was just doing his job. However, the said media personality proceeded to curse him and even went as far as to accuse PGH doctors in general of being matapobre or “anti-poor.”

Well, another PGH doctor, Dr. Winlove Mojica, had a tongue-in-cheek approach to the whole matapobre accusation. He, instead, posted a Twitter SOS for his patient, a little boy named Yul, who has a severe case of psoriasis. (By the way, yes, that is the doctor’s real name!)

Yul happens to live in Sibuyan Island in Romblon. Unfortunately, his family does not have the means to rock up on the lotion that he needs for his condition.

Below are Dr. Mojica’s tweets. He posted a picture of himself and Yul with the consent of Yul’s mom.

Dr. Mojica’s Twitter call did not go unheeded. He seemed overjoyed by the response.

WE can’t help but be touched by Dr. Mojica’s gesture, especially because he also shows in the photo that psoriasis is not a contagious condition.
