Brother rolls out its first industrial tube printer in PH

Japanese printer maker Brother International has launched its first industrial tube printer PT-E850TKW that allows panel builders, site engineers, server installation technicians and wire installers to print on electrical wires on-site.

“The PT-E850TKW introduces the potential for on-site printing and is the fastest in the industry. It allows print jobs and label markings to be completed at a much organized and faster pace,” said Glenn Hocson, president at Brother Philippines.

“Our industrial tube printers are manufactured to deliver quality, reliability, and convenience in order to help businesses accomplish their tasks efficiently and seamlessly.”

The label printer has small footprints, ideal for electrical wires of all sizes. The PT-E850TKW comes with a detachable keyboard that fits on top of the printer, further saving precious workplace space. It also offers the choice of working with AC power, and for environments where a spare AC power point is not readily available.

“This innovation allows electricians to switch between the tube and label print modes without having to remove or reinsert consumables before printing. Electricians can then replace selected components by themselves; eliminating the need to rely on a distant service center for professional replacement,” Hocson explained.

Materials may be printed from a PC via a USB connection with the Brother Cable Label Tool software for tube printing, and Brother P-touch Editor software for label printing.

The detachable keyboard, and smartphones or tablets (with Brother’s iPrint & Label app or the Brother Mobile Cable Label Tool app) may be used to control the PT-E850TKW, adding flexibility while in the field.

The label printer is compatible with TZe tapes, the toughest auto-laminated labels in the market. Labels printed on TZe tapes work well in industrial environments as they are resistant to water, grease and harsh weather conditions.

Labels of up to 36mm in width are accepted, supporting a wider range of applications. The PT-E850TKW printer further maximizes printing options with the ability to print up to 17 lines on labels, and up to 2 lines on tubes.
