Ex-Microsoft PH boss appointed Cisco country manager

Network equipment maker Cisco formally announced on Monday, Aug. 20, the appointment of Karrie Ilagan as the new country manager for the Philippines.

Ilagan will be responsible for supporting customers in the domestic market, with a particular focus on enabling digital transformation and propelling cybersecurity capabilities, via an ecosystem of Cisco?s channel partners.

She will report to Naveen Menon, president of Southeast Asia at Cisco.

A seasoned executive with more than 23 years of experience, Ilagan has held various sales and channel leadership roles at global technology organizations. Her last post was managing director of Microsoft Philippines.

She has undertaken executive leadership programs at Boston University School of Management and Harvard Business School. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in economics from Assumption College.

Commenting on her appointment, Ilagan said: “Digital transformation is picking up pace in the Philippines and creating opportunities across all sectors of the economy. I am excited to be joining the company at a time when digital disruption is having a big impact not just on businesses, but also the overall society.”
