Following its new milestone of hitting 6.2 million units as of end of October, the network officially rolled out the ABS-CBN TVplus box with a ceremonial switch-on followed by a showcase of its entertainment stars, a KBO public viewing, and on-ground activities of its exclusive channels at the Lipa City Youth and Cultural Center.

Batangas is the 16th signal coverage area of ABS-CBN TVplus, accelerating the country?s migration from analog to digital before the government mandated deadline for all broadcasting companies to switch to digital broadcast by 2023.

Since its launch in 2015, ABS-CBN TVplus has driven up the digital penetration in non-cabled homes in Metro Manila (71.6% in August 2018 from 55% in August 2017, Mega Manila (64.7% in August 2018 from 44% in August 2017), and in the suburbs (57% in August 2018 from 33% in August 2017), according to Kantar Media?s establishment survey conducted in August 2018 that was reported in October.

With the ABS-CBN TVplus box, residents in Batangas can now enjoy clear picture, crisp sound, exclusive channels, and a pay-per-view service with no monthly fees. The box also has an emergency warning broadcast system (EWBS) that provides the public with useful information during typhoons and earthquakes.

ABS-CBN is the first media and entertainment company in the country to make the historic switch from analog to digital terrestrial television in 2015.

ABS-CBN TVplus covers areas that also include Metro Manila, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan, Rizal, Laguna, Pampanga, Tarlac, Benguet, Cavite, Metro Cebu, Cagayan De Oro, Iloilo, Bacolod, and Davao.

The ABS-CBN TVplus box is available for a one-time payment fee of P1,499 in Batangas City Agoncillo, Alitagtag, Balayan, Bauan, Calaca, Calatagan, Cuenca, Ibaan, Lemery, Lipa City, Mabini, Padre Garcia, Rosario, San Jose, San Luis, San Nicolas, San Pascual, Sta. Teresita, Taal, Taysan, Tuy, and some parts of Quezon province.
