Also included in the partnership is the Snaxx Bar located in the cinema compounds of both Gateway and AliMall, which is also now powered by GCash.

“I’d like to thank Uniprom, who operates Gateway Cineplex and Ali Cineplex for giving us a chance to showcase how it is to ‘scan to pay’. Magandang balita po ito na nagdadagdagan ‘yung paggagamitan ng GCash natin,” said GCash president and CEO Abet Tinio.

To celebrate the partnership, GCash treated members of the media, VIPs, and fans of the wizarding world to a block screening premier of “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.” The company also hosted a contest that enabled a select number of GCash users and fans of the series to try and avail promo tickets for only P10.

Tinio revealed that they have also launched the scan-to-pay feature in Facebook Messenger, allowing users to link their GCash accounts to the chat app. “Through FB Messenger you can do the same thing: experience the hassle free, convenient, and safe way of paying cashless,” Tinio said.

Users can download the GCash app for free from Google Play and the Apple App Store, and sign up for an account. To fund their GCash account, users can visit GCash partner outlets nationwide, including: 7-Eleven, SM Business Centers, Robinsons Business Centers, Puregold branches, and Villarica Pawnshop branches to cash-in to their accounts.
