Smartphone brand Realme has officially launched its Philippine operations with the introduction of its first smartphone aimed at the local market, the Realme C1.

Designed to redefine the entry-level smartphone range in the Philippines, the Realme C1 packs a 4230mAh mega battery — a feature that is said to be unmatched in its price segment. The phone can last up to 44 hours of phone calls, 18 hours of music playback with Wi-Fi, and 10 hours of gaming.

To reduce overall power consumption, the Realme C1 restricts background applications not in use through its core power-saving features: App-freezing Power Saver and Quick App Freezing. In testing conditions, 5 percent to 11 percent of power can be saved when the freezing function is on.

The Realme C1 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor. With advanced 14nm process and a basic frequency up to 1.8GHz, the device can effectively reduce power consumption and control heat. Packed with a powerful image processing and 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM, it can run multiple types of games smoothly and without any lag.

It also features two Nano 4G SIM cards and dedicated micro SD cards.

With its 6.2-inch super large screen, the Realme C1 is the first large sized notch full-screen smartphone in its price segment. The phone achieves a screen-to-body ratio of 88.8 percent and a 19:9 screen display because of a more compact arrangement of the earpiece, front camera, and light sensor.

A 2.05mm ultra-narrow bezel and an upgraded dispensing process further narrowed the screen bezel by 16 percent. The wide viewing angle delivers an immersive visual experience while playing games and watching videos.

The Realme C1 boasts a third-generation Corning Gorilla Glass with native damage and scratch resistance. In addition, with 12 layers of nano-scale sheet laminate and 2.5D nano-scale composite material, the device has greater hardness and better wear and scratch resistance. The electroplated layer increases the hardness, prevents wear, and improves smoothness, heat resistance and surface appearance. The ink printing technology gives the rear cover a translucent texture for a three-dimensional effect.

The Realme C1 is equipped with rear 13MP + 2MP dual cameras with software algorithm, making the shooting contour clearer and the background blur more natural. In portrait mode, people are more prominent, and photos are more layered. The camera supports PDAF, improves focus speed and captures every wonderful second.

The front 5MP camera?s AI Beauty capability takes photo editing to a new level with 296 recognition points, intelligently recognizing the gender, age, skin tone and even skin type of characters through AI algorithms.

It can accurately identify and provide individualized beauty schemes from 8 million beauty solutions. Intelligent AI Beauty records and learns the photo editing habits of the user in the local album and applies these editing points in future photo sessions.

The Realme C1 supports facial unlock and SmartLock. Facial unlock captures 128 face recognition points through the front camera. SmartLock records and recognizes frequently stayed locations and marks them as trusty places where the mobile phone automatically stays unlocked.

The ColorOS 5.1 on the Realme C1 supports Clone Apps, which allows two social media accounts to be used at the same time. Meanwhile, full screen multitasking enables the user to operate applications like WhatsApp while watching videos or playing games in landscape mode.

The product is available in two colors: Mirror Black and Navy Blue

The Realme C1 (2GB + 16GB) is available for P5,990 but customers can take advantage of the upcoming flash sale via Lazada on December 5, 2018 at 12NN for a special price of P5,490.
