Jabra expands line of wireless earbuds, headphones in PH

Audio equipment maker Jabra has launched four new members of its Elite series of headphones and earbuds in the Philippines.

Jabra Elite Active 65t in Copper Blue

First announced at CES 2018, the Elite 45e, Elite 65t, Elite Active 65t, and Elite 65e are the latest to join the Elite family of headphones and earbuds, a series engineered for outstanding music quality and strong voice capability.

With the Elite range, headphone users no longer have to make a choice between great music headphones or a headset designed for voice and calls, and can have both with whichever Elite product they choose.

The four latest products — Elite 45e, Elite 65t, Elite Active 65t, and Elite 65e — model the best-selling Jabra Elite Sport, the most technically advanced wireless sports earbuds which set the standard for the Elite product suite by incorporating leading audio technology.

Each new Elite product contains unique microphone configurations to ensure users will always be heard, whether speaking to voice assistants such as Alexa or family members, and whether indoors or out on the street.

In addition, the companion Jabra Sound+ app allows users to personalize their music to the sound that suits them.

The new Elite products also come with the security of a two-year warranty against dust and water ingress (two years for the Elite Active 65t also including sweat ingress).

While users will experience the great voice and music experience that Elite products offer, they will also be able to choose the wearing style that suits them best. The Elite family includes true wireless and soft neckband variants with the suffix letter signifying the styles clearly using “e” for earbud and “t” for true wireless.

For those who prefer using voice commands, the new products allow voice support for all major voice services, now including Amazon Alexa on-the-go. Jabra will be among the first movers to enable this mobile feature, providing customers with access to Alexa directly from the earbuds.

Jabra Engage 50

At the same time, Jabra launched the Engage 50 — a professional digital corded headset for call centers in the country.

The Engage 50 features a unique 3-microphone system that filters out background noise and breathing sounds to improve call quality and customer satisfaction.

The headset also supports stereo sound and super wideband audio quality for vibrant, lifelike conversations, while providing hearing protection for call center agents.

The Jabra Engage 50 addresses the issue of interruptions that affect agents? work focus. The multi-color status lights on both earcups can be customized for the needs of the business, ensuring that a user is not interrupted in the middle of an important call. Jabra’s noise cancellation technology further blocks out ambient noise and improves agents’ ability to focus.

The headset features the Jabra Xpress software which offers indepth call analytics for businesses. For instance, background noise measurements give companies an indication of areas or time periods where noise is above a certain threshold. This allows business to make data-driven decisions to reduce noise and enhance employee productivity.

Users can also make use of the Jabra Engage Link, a call control accessory that allows them to adjust volume levels and mute, speed dial, answer and end calls, and update their status lights at the touch of a button.

The headset also comes with the Jabra Direct software, which provides live on-screen guidance to users. For example, users are prompted to adjust the microphone boom arm if it?s not placed in an ideal position.

A total of 54,280 engineering hours were spent to develop the Jabra Engage 50 headset, which now holds three patents for features that improve call quality: its 3-microphone system to reduce unwanted sounds, embedding the processing chip directly in the earcup, and the audio improvements that balance the incoming sound and automatically adjust to the users’ preferences.

The Jabra Engage 50 headset is available in in Stereo or Mono versions, and is compatible with on-premises and cloud-based softphone platforms. It incorporates USB-C for easy connection to PC and mobile devices, with the option of USB-A connectivity as an accessory.

The Jabra Engage Link is available in USB-A & USB-C, UC (Unified Communications) or MS (Microsoft Skype for Business) versions.
