CEZA grants license to Singapore-based crypto-currency firm

A Singaporean crypto-currency firm, 6x.com, said it has secured a license from the Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) to conduct financial technology solutions and offer offshore virtual currency exchange services.

The company said it underwent stringent probity and integrity check from CEZA before it was given the license to operate.

As a pioneer in developing a trading exchange based on blockchain technology, the company said it will contribute to the development of Cagayan-based ecozone in the area of blockchain, crypto, and financial technology solutions.

“We are happy to be granted the license to offer financial solutions and offshore virtual currency exchange services to our global customers. We are glad to have the support in the Philippines and be part of the government’s master plan to establish a clear cryptocurrency ecosystem in the country,” 6x.com international vice-president Vanessa Koh said in a statement.
