The Tuguegarao City government has subscribed to Globe Business’ Direct Internet which allows the local government unit (LGU) to offer its constituents fast Internet access.

“Aside from the need to have fast and reliable Internet connectivity to effectively cater to the communication needs of all offices in the city hall, the project also aims to extend its reach to public schools, specifically the students and teachers,” said Tuguegarao City mayor Jefferson Soriano.

Peter Maquera, senior vice president for Globe Business, said: “Globe Business is thrilled and privileged to have been chosen by the City of Tuguegarao. We are very excited for the partnership as this pushes us to strive for excellence and commit to our purpose to help build our nation.”

Globe Business Direct Internet allows enterprises to maintain a direct and secure connection between offices for data, voice, and video application needs. It also offers support to make sure that clients get secure and dedicated connectivity.

The WiFi project in Tuguegarao is also in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal No. 9, which emphasizes the need for investment in infrastructure and innovation, being identified as crucial drivers of economic growth and development.
