Alzona, who took his oath of office last September 2018, is now the assistant secretary for management and operations at the DICT. He attended his first event with the media during the signing of memorandum between the Chinese common tower provider CEEC and the DICT on Friday, January 18.

The 37-year-old Lucena-born lawyer gained his undergraduate and law degrees from San Beda College. Prior to his appointment at the DICT, Alzona was an associate lawyer at the Belo Gozon Elma Parel Asuncion and Lucila law firm. He also previously worked as a financial analyst at Intel Corporation and as a tax associate at Punongbayan and Araullo.

Alzona now joins the list of assistant secretaries at the DICT, which include Carlos Caliwara, assistant secretary for legal affairs and consumer protection; Allan Cabanlong, assistant secretary for cybersecurity and enabling technologies; and Alan Silor, assistant secretary for infostructure management bureau and other special concerns.
