Anger Management via Grab: 5 ways to stay chill in the city

Metro Manila is an urban jungle that tests your mettle. Admittedly, the most challenging aspect of the metropolis is transportation — be it in terms of commuting or getting something from one point to another.

One thing that has helped make things better for residents of the Big Bad City is Grab. The app is responsible for lessening the meltdown moments of commuters, merchants, and consumers.

1. GrabCar and GrabTaxi are your “magic carpet rides.” Horrible Metro Manila traffic and the lack of convenient transportation options are the primary triggers of commuter road rage. You’re bound to get impatient and have a meltdown if you’ve just had a rough day at work and you to wait for two hours to catch a ride home. You can book a GrabCar or GrabTaxi and just relax in the backseat as the driver navigates through traffic. You’ll get to your destination in a good mood. It’s money well spent.

2. GrabShare connects you to others going your way. What do you do when your carpool buddy cancels or when your ride to the party wants to go home early? GrabShare is your friend. Carpooling has never been so efficient. GrabShare also boasts of 30% lower fares.

3. GrabExpress vs. delivery woes. Don’t you just hate it when you waste an entire day (or days) waiting in vain for parcels? If you’re in Quezon City and need to send a parcel to someone in Parañaque City ASAP or if you forgot something at home, GrabExpress is your best option. With this on-demand service, deliveries are done on the same day. And, oh, you can track your parcel in real time.

4. GrabFood for your hunger pangs. There are way too many “hangry” (hungry + angry) people in the city. As such, there are times when you just can’t take chances with the usual food delivery services. So, you tap the services of a GrabFood rider, who goes to your chosen restaurants, orders your food, and then takes it to you. GrabFood is growing so popular that actor Paulo Avelino mock-trolled the service on Twitter.

5. GrabRewards for bad days. You earn points for using Grab and you can use these points to get some GrabRewards, which include discounts to a wide variety of merchants and services. So, if you’re having a bad day and you need a pick-me-up, check out the GrabRewards list and treat yourself to something that makes you feel good.
