Audio technology and systems manufacturer Sennheiser just inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with local music store JB Music, making the latter in charge of product distribution of Sennheiser’s Asian arm.

During the MOU signing at the JB Music flagship store in Mandaluyong City, both companies announced that Filipino consumers can now get their hands on Sennheiser audio equipment and products at JB Music stores. The available audio gears include the Pro Audio Solutions of Sennheiser like XS Wireless Digital and Evolution Wireless G4.

“We see a lot of growth potential here especially with Filipinos being such music-loving people. This is where, we believe, Sennheiser has a very special place in the market. By partnering with JB Music, we see a partner who is very much aligned with our brand philosophy,” said Martin Low, managing director for Sennheiser Electronic Asia.

Low mentioned that the Philippines is a strategic market for their company in the region since Filipinos are known for their love of karaoke and music in general. As a target customer base, the Philippine market’s local entertainment industry calls for reliable musical equipment and this, he said, is where Sennheiser comes in.

The XS Wireless Digital is the company’s latest offering for the wireless microphone system segment. Both its transmitter and receiver can operate for up to five hours in a single charge of its non-removable batteries through a USB-Type C port. This device also uses a 2.4GHz connection for a wireless peer-to-peer connection to sync the portable transmitter and receiver.

“We are honored to be entrusted with such a great brand, being the market leader in the audio technology for 74 years, and we are shaping today the audio world of tomorrow,” said Jerico Fernando, president of JB Music & Sports.

“We are really excited with this partnership and we look forward to a very mutually strong relationship moving forward,” Low chimed in.
