Lenovo targets younger workforce with latest ThinkBook

Lenovo recently unveiled the newest model in its ThinkBook line — the ThinkBook 13S. It has a 13.3″ Full HD panel with a screen resolution of 1920×1080, an AMD Radeon 540X, and an Intel UHD 620 variant.

It also has an 8th-generation Intel Core i5 processor, which has enough juice to power the device for up to 11 hours in battery life. Its Rapid Charge feature gets up to 80% power in one hour.

According to Michael Ngan, Lenovo Philippines country general manager, Lenovo aims to provide companies a more productive workplace by leveraging technology-savvy young employees who can work with more flexibility and power coupled by up-to-date aesthetics.

“Through the high performance and elegance of the ThinkBook, businesses will have an edge in attracting tech-savvy millennials and Gen Z workers who grew up working, creating, and communicating online with stylish and premium devices,” Ngan said.

The sleek ThinkBook 13S comes pre-loaded with business-centric features like the Lenovo Vantage, which handles preventive hardware diagnostics, personalized hardware settings, and auto-installation of critical updates. Meanwhile, the Lenovo Migration Assistant helps users migrate all user files and settings when upgrading systems. To top it off, it comes with a 30-day trial Microsoft Office Suite.

When it comes to durability features, the ThinkBook laptop borrows the key elements found in the ThinkPad line such as protection from water spills, extreme temperatures, and vibrations. The zinc-alloy hinge with powdered-metal technology can also endure 25,000 “open-and-close” cycles and coated with indium and stannum that reduces corrosion.

The IPS panel of the ThinkBook 13S is an anti-glare display with less than 5.55mm bezels and is coupled with Dolby Vision that creates brighter, more color-accurate, detailed images with an expanded amount of contrast. The ThinkShield security features are also added in to the device, bringing in Smart Power On fingerprint recognition and discrete Trusted Platform Module (dTPM 2.0) encryption capabilities.

The AMD variant running on Windows 10 Home OS retails at P54,990 while the Integrated Intel version with Windows 10 Pro as its OS is priced at P58,990. Both will come packed with an 8GB onboard memory and a 512GB M.2 PCIe SSD storage.

The ThinkBook 13S is available in Lenovo Exclusive Stores located at SM North EDSA, Mall of Asia, and SM Megamall.
