The winners will then get to represent the country in the regional Predator League 2020 finals with other national representatives from the Asia Pacific region.

The tournament is Predator’s contribution in supporting the thriving gaming industry at the grassroots level where the spotlight can be trained on new talents and budding enthusiasts. The Asia Pacific e-sports tournament also serves as a stage for players aiming to go pro.

The program was launched last year at the onset of e-sports becoming a medal event at the Southeast Asian Games which will also be held this year in the Philippines. The first edition’s Grand Championship was held in Indonesia with the country’s TNC Predator emerging as victors for DOTA 2 at the Predator League 2019 held in Thailand.

The local prize pool for this year is P780,000.00 for DOTA 2 by Valve and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) players. Predator is also the official title sponsor of the TNC Dota 2 Pro and ArkAngel PUBG Pro teams.

Team Arkangel Predator has been making a name in the local gaming communities while TNC Predator has put the entire country in the e-sports map when they captured the championship title for DOTA 2 at the World Electronic Sports Games (WESG) held in China.
