According to Globe president and CEO Ernest Cu, an Internet connection is a must-have for retailers to increase the convenience of customers who don’t have readily access to a data connection.

“This partnership with Araneta Center will allow more customers to enjoy free WiFi services using Globe’s high-speed GoWiFi service and make their shopping and Internet surfing truly a one-of-a-kind experience,” Cu added.

Currently, the Wifi service is available across 2,500 sites in the Philippines, 500 sites higher than last year. Globe is also planning to add more sites in high-traffic areas that include more malls, as well as schools and hospitals.

Araneta Center senior vice president for business development John Peter Costelo shared that they are looking forward to attract more patrons by providing a robust Internet-enabling service to many of their tech-savvy customers who rely heavily mobile devices for their lifestyle choices.

“GoWifi will further allow our shoppers and visitors to enjoy online-enabled services and features suited to their needs. We are providing a technology platform and an online tool to enjoy new discoveries,” Costelo said.

Customers at any of Araneta Center’s lifestyle complexes just need to connect to the WiFi named @AranetaCenter_FreeGoWiFi and sign in on the network. The service can reach speeds of up to 100Mbps and available to all networks.
