Vea, founder and CEO; Shailesh Baidwan, president; Miguel Fernandez, group chief finance officer; Heidi Garayblas, head of brand and marketing services; and Mar Lazaro, head of enterprise business

The new brand campaign entails a set of updates to make the company’s existing user base more active and engaged to their application and monthly promos. PayMaya is incentivizing users with multiple rewards and benefits whenever they use the platform to buy load, pay bills, send money, and especially with holiday sales right around the corner, shop online, or through PayMaya QR.

According to PayMaya’s COO and managing director Paolo Azzola, the newer and smoother app experience, coupled with discounts and cashback promos, as well as a growing number of merchant and add money partners positions the platform as an alternative from cash payments and as a player in digital payments adoption in the Philippines.

“PayMaya is undoubtedly the best way to pay in the Philippines today. Our formula is simple, make digital payments accessible, more convenient, more secure, more rewarding, and more fun,” Azzola added.

The app’s refreshed look and enhancements are now available through an update which has a file size of 20MB. With it, the most frequently used features like sending money, buying load, scanning for QR, and adding money are already readily available at the opening interface. The app icon has also been modified, and the PayMaya missions are also immediately spotted.

“We’re just getting started and this will get more exciting as we gear up towards the holiday shopping season. Our goal is to make every Filipino embrace digital payments by multiplying the benefits of going cashless,” Azzola said.

Users can now add funds to their PayMaya account through InstaPay, credit, and debit cards. For their KYC protocols regarding an easier on-boarding process and faster account upgrades, PayMaya is also equipping their platform with selfie and AI capabilities.

The PayMaya card also got a makeover. It’s now colored black with the card number and other sensitive information displayed at the back to avoid security issues.
