Controversial firm WeWork to open 2 more sites in PH

WeWork, the troubled shared workspace provider that has been hogging the headlines recently, has announced that it will be opening two more new locations in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) this coming November and December.

In a statement, the New York-headquartered company said it continues to expand in the Philippines with upcoming locations at Menarco Tower and Milestone at 5th Avenue in BGC.

The company currently has a total of 25 locations across Southeast Asia since its first location in Singapore opened back in 2017.

“WeWork entered the Philippine market with its first location — WeWork Uptown Bonifacio — back in 2018. Building on its strong growth trajectory, WeWork is now present in four locations in the Philippines in less than a year,” the company said.

WeWork’s stock has taken a beating recently after a number of issues hobbled the company, leading to the resignation of its founder as CEO and aborting its public listing in the US.
