Vivo PH debuts V17 Pro with ‘Dual Elevating Selfie’ camera

Vivo Philippines recently bared its newest flagship offering — the Vivo V17 Pro, which features six camera lenses including two that are touted as the industry’s first 32MP Dual Elevating Front Camera.

The device will also carries a Super AMOLED FullView Display as well as a professional-grade 48MP AI-powered rear quad camera configuration.

The signature selfie system is housed alongside the earpiece and selfie spotlight in the elevating module. Since this piece is built seamlessly as part of the unibody alloy design, Vivo is brandishing it as a system that is built for endurance while blending mechanized aspects and artistic design directions.

The dual cameras consist of a 32MP main lens and an 8MP Super Wide-Angle sensor which can capture up to 105-degrees. The Selfie Softlight, meanwhile, has been a feature popping in and out with every release of smartphones but seeing it on a pop-up module is refreshing, but makes sense since the V17 Pro has an exclusive Super Night Selfie feature that uses stacked frames that emphasize on the users’ faces and moves the focus away from the background.

The rear shooters come with all the bells and whistles that come with AI enabling features like “Pose Master” that suggests natural poses to match a variety of photo scenes and the “Super Night Mode” that brings clarity for low-light condition shots.

The main sensor is a 48MP 6P sensor equipped with a Super Wide-Angle camera to expand the size of landscape shots further. Other photography modes include 4K video shooting, Voice Control, Palm Gestures, AR Stickers, Jovi Image Recognizer, AI Scene Identification, and even Super Macro.

For the viewing experience in the smartphone, the Super AMOLED panel comes at an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a screen-to-body ratio of 91.65% with its screen estate of 6.44”. Underneath the panel is an In-Display Fingerprint Scanning Technology.

The V17 Pro runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 AIE platform with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It operates Funtouch OS 9.1 based on Android 9 (Pie) and is powered by a 4100mAh battery with 9V 2A Dual-Engine Fast Charging.
