BPI brings back online appointment scheduling, intros upgrades

Ayala-owned lender BPI recently brought back its online appointment scheduling service, and announced additional new features for its online banking and mobile app to give clients more control and convenience over their banking transactions.

First introduced in 2012, setting of branch appointments in advance with BPI Online gives clients the freedom to transact at their preferred branch and time. The clients can log on to www.bpi.com.ph, give the transaction details, and get the queue number. Clients can then visit their chosen branch on their scheduled time hassle-free.

“We want to be agile. When we launched our all new mobile app and online facility, we started with the basic functionalities. Now, it has more functionalities than ever before and we continue to add more and more features as we continue to develop these platforms,” said Noel Santiago, BPI chief digital officer.

As part of the new features, clients can manage enrolled billers and prepaid accounts under a single location. They can also enroll prepaid phones and prepaid accounts for reloading real-time via OTP (One-time PIN). Third-party accounts can be enrolled by emailing a signed form.

The bank also brought back the feature that allows clients to manage the visibility of their bank accounts. Under Manage My Account section, clients can add, show, or hide their accounts without the need to visit a branch or call the hotline.

Furthermore, clients with investments can now subscribe to and redeem investments via the mobile app.

BPI has been continually updating and upgrading its online channels because the bank believes in the importance of providing a delightful banking experience for clients.

“It’s all about the customer experience and how we can deliver relevant financial solutions to them in the most convenient and safest manner,” Santiago added.
