Epson Philippines recently showcased its laser projectors in a 3D video mapping show at the “Carol of Lights” show in Ayala Triangle in Makati City.
The breathtaking 3D video mapping show is inspired by the world’s most iconic ceiling murals from local and international churches such as Italy’s Sant’Andrea della Valle and the Sistine Chapel. Designed by G.A. Fallarme and conceptualized with Henk-Gert Lenten, the intricate light show is projected on the dome of Tower One and Exchange Plaza buildings.
“It was very fortunate that Ayala Land came to us, approached us, and said if we would like to cooperate in this kind of a project. And we said yes. This is the first time and it will be a very unique opportunity for Epson to show its technologies, the quality of its output, in a very iconic landmark,” said Eduardo Bonoan, general manager for the marketing division of Epson Philippines.
“We thank Ayala Land for this wonderful opportunity to brighten up everyone’s Christmas using Epson’s world-class 3LCD projectors. We look forward to leveraging our visual innovation technologies and transforming more venues into immersive spellbinding art displays that create incredible experiences for customers,” Bonoan added.
The projectors Epson used in the show included two models — the EB-L25000U and the EB-L1755UNL.
The L25000U is considered the industry’s first 25,000 lumen 3LCD laser projector that is equipped with 4K lens technology. It can handle 360-degree of rotational motion with adjustable tilt, superior heat resistance for its WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution, and comes with a 20,000H life for the laser light source before needing maintenance.
Meanwhile, the large-venue projector L1755UNL combines native WUXGA with Epson 4K Enhancement Technology which shifts individual pixels diagonally, doubling the resolution to exceed Full HD image quality parameters. Maintenance-free operation is also projected at 20,000 hours while lumens is capped at 15,000. The projector comes equipped with Edge Blending, 3G-SDI and HDBaseT integration, and an option to add nine powered lenses which are sold separately.
The light show is held at the activity area of the park and will be running until January 12, 2020, from 6PM to 10PM.
