Crowdfunding portal allows Pinoys to invest as low as P1K in real estate

Aiming to digitize the real estate investment industry in the Philippines, local firm Signet Properties recently announced the launch of “Flint”, which is said to be the first real estate crowdfunding platform in the country.

The tech-enabled platform is backed by Taiwan’s Seedin Technology and RE/MAX Premier Manila. The three companies will make up the three vital parts of the platform — RE/MAX Premier will bring in the projects, Signet Properties at the helm managing these projects, and Seedin Technology handling the finances that run the show backstage.

“This platform offers an opportunity for everyone to invest in a safe and secure type of investment, and also to take advantage of the booming real estate industry without spending P10 million. Rather, it can be as low as P1000 which is mitigated risk since the minimum amount is low,” said Seedin Technology Philippines partner and executive director Edison Tsai.

The system accommodates investors who want to go as high as they want while still being able to offer low-entry points for starters. These investors also have access to see and visit the projects they’re invested in since all properties available are already pre-funded.

The setup allows Flint to secure higher interest rates and accelerated investment closings, which in turn, enables users to earn their return of investment (ROI) at a much quicker rate than the traditional industry average.

“That really brings real estate investments to everyone. The reason why it’s a game-changer is because real estate investment, some say, is a rich man’s game. This platform changes that. It allows people to invest in real estates through a vetted platform, vetted projects, and a secure due diligence process,” Tsai explained. “All three entities are there to ensure that our investors are participating in secure and safe type of investments with minimum risk.”

Meanwhile, Signet Properties CEO Andre Mercado crowdfunding platform will provide opportunities for anyone, especially those who are hesitant or overwhelmed with the Philippine property investment process.

Flint, he said, will serve as an easy access and straightforward means which is open to all, especially Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), and even investors from around the globe.
